Able Purchases Former GET Manufacturing Site to Build Upon Past Success

Mountain View, Calif. - November 30, 1999 - Able Electronics Corporation today announced that it has purchased the former Silicon Valley manufacturing operations of GET Manufacturing, Inc. to launch a new electronic manufacturing services (EMS) company. With this move, Able comes full circle from its 1988 beginnings.

Able was a Silicon Valley contract manufacturer from 1988 to 1997 when it was purchased by GET Manufacturing. In turn, GET was purchased by Jabil Circuit in September of this year. Now, Able is back with new owners, many of the same associates from GET and the former Able, and a management team of industry veterans.

The new Able offers full systems turnkey manufacturing through box build from GET's former 43,000 square foot, ISO 9002-certified facility in Mountain View. The facility features SMT lines with Fuji and Panasonic equipment and engineering support for Design for Manufacturability and Test. In addition to President & COO Dennis (formerly of Kent Electronics), Able's management team includes Director of Customer Operations Eldon Regua (formerly of GET, Solectron and Applied Materials); Director of Finance/Controller Rich Rowley (formerly of GET, IDT and Intel); and Director of Manufacturing Operations Paul Sperry (formerly of GET, Unitek and Flextronics).
