Hayward, California – October 6, 2000 ABLE ELECTRONICS CORPORATION EXPANDS SERVICE CAPABILITIES WITH MOVE TO HAYWARD Able Electronics Corporation, a rapidly-growing contract electronics manufacturer, today announced the relocation of its corporate headquarters from Mountain View to a new 65,000 square-foot facility in Hayward, California. The move allows Able to nearly double its manufacturing capacity and enhance existing service capabilities with the addition of micro-BGA and a new Philips SMT line, among other new equipment. "Able’s growth has always been strategically linked to strengthening capabilities to meet our customers’ needs," said Peter Dennis, Able Electronics President & COO. "Our new Hayward site will expand Able’s offerings with the latest equipment, faster turns and greater versatility as well as additional training facilities for our associates. We’re thrilled to be part of the Hayward community." Able has executed a multi-year lease on the Hayward facility with the ability to add another 70,000 square feet in the same location. The site is currently in operation with three SMT lines and 140 skilled associates providing a full range of medium-to-high volume, full turnkey manufacturing, test and logistical services. This includes capabilities ranging from PCBA levels through system build, integration, in-circuit test, pack-out, product fulfillment, OEM worldwide sales order distribution and product repair, refurbishment and upgrades.
